Once again, Andreas Niegl (Given Willingly) has presented us with a stunning effort in the form of "Weaken". We always like Andreas' albums, but this one is something special, in fact it only took two listen for Jon 7 to declare it Andreas' "best work to date".

This album is a double, with two distinct sounds on each disc; the first disc is more synth driven with a lighter feel to it, and the second is more guitar driven with a stronger and somewhat darker feel to it. We have many times compared GW albums to film soundtracks, and "Weaken" sounds as if the movie could be based around it and not the other way around. Label-head Jon 7 felt as though several of the tracks fit well to the memories of times in his life where he felt he was in a movie.

An epic sound, as well as epic-length song titles, make this release one not to be missed. A high level of musicianship also gives this recording a living sound that will impress any fan of post-rock style music, especially upon the realization that it was all created by one man instead of a whole band.
